Strengthening Supervisory Leadership
and Succession Readiness at TOT

Busara Africa supported the Tema Oil Terminal (TOT), a petroleum storage and distribution depot in Accra, Ghana, to strengthen supervisory leadership capacity in response to evolving organisational needs and recent senior staff transitions. The engagement focused on preparing four high-potential supervisors for future management roles, combining leadership development, facilitation, and a 360-degree assessment approach to deepen self-awareness and leadership effectiveness.

A core element of the engagement was Busara Africa’s 360-degree leadership assessment, which gathered confidential feedback from supervisors, managers, peers, and direct reports. The insights informed personalised development plans and guided targeted leadership workshops on time and priority management, cross-functional collaboration, emotional intelligence, effective communication, and leading with fairness and integrity. Through facilitated reflection and peer learning, participants strengthened critical leadership behaviours and gained clarity on their growth pathways, laying a strong foundation for leadership continuity and future talent development within the organisation.
