Busara Africa & WACSI's
CSR-Hub Initiative

Busara Africa partners with WACSI to give training to 25 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across West Africa under the Civic Space Resource Hub for West Africa (CSR-Hub) project.

Busara Africa was engaged by WACSI to “Enhance CSO Governance and Operational Efficiency” in the Civic Space Resource (CSR) Hub. The goal of the Hub seeks to provide capacity and technical support to Civil Society Organizations in West Africa, specifically in Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal to expand civic space and promote open societies in West Africa.

The specific objectives were:

  • To broaden knowledge on threats to civic space and enabling environments.
  • To enhance Civil Society Organisational governance and operational efficiency.
  • To strengthen resource mobilisation and financial resilience.
  • To reinforce digital security and protection for safe activism.

In sum, it provides capacity-strengthening support and technical advice to CSOs around four strategic thematic areas: Civic Space Protection, Organisational Governance and Regulatory Compliance, Digital Security and Protection, and Resource Mobilisation and Financial Resilience.
